CURRICULUM

Each subject area is reviewed every six years to update what we want students to learn, how we will assess what they have learned, how we will teach the information, what we will do for those students who are not learning and what we will do for those students who are ahead of what they need to learn.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

All staff are involved in continuous training to improve their ability to be effective in their work.  Salary incentives are provided to licensed staff for ongoing professional development and coursework.

SUPERVISOR OF BUILDING ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL

Supervises and evaluates administrative personnel in the district.  Works with administrative personnel to carry out the policy of the board.  Chain of command is very important in order that all concerns are addressed at the lowest level first and then move from that level to the building administration, then to the Superintendent and finally to the Board of Education.

QPA & SCHOOL IMPROVEMENT

As curriculum director one of the critical aspects of that position is overseeing the state mandated  QPA & school improvement programs.  This includes state assessments, standards based curriculums and the processes necessary to effectively implement both.

TEACHING & LEARNING

As Superintendent the most important aspect of this position is to develop the best possible education for our students within state and local policies as well as the budget.
